If West Ham United can get rid of Nayef Aguerd, then they will go after Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Max Kilman.
West Ham United is reportedly interested in Max Kilman, according to a report by The Guardian. The Wolverhampton Wanderers captain, who will cost £40 million, is one of the center backs that the Hammers are pursuing. But only if they let go of Nayef Aguerd during the January transfer window will they go after the 26-year-old.

Max Kilman: The Narrative Thus far
Since moving from Maidenhead United to Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2018, Max Kilman has only gotten better. The Englishman, who is originally from London, was not well-known during his early career. But during the past five years, his stock has increased significantly.

For Wolverhampton Wanderers, the 26-year-old has been a dependable presence at the back, making 129 appearances and contributing two goals and two assists so far. Kilman’s reputation has grown so much that he is now the club captain for the Black Country group. His achievements, meantime, have not gone unnoticed, drawing interest from numerous prestigious clubs.

Max Kilman was a target for many prominent Premier League teams, including Tottenham Hotspur, during the summer transfer window. West Ham United is in the running to capture him going into the January transfer window. But only if they sell Nayef Aguerd will they go after the Wolverhampton Wanderers skipper.

Center-back Wanted by West Ham United
With numerous rumors linking him to a January departure, the Moroccan international’s future at the London Stadium appears to be dubious. Greener pastures are what the 27-year-old wants to leave West Ham for. Thus, as they prepare for life after Aguerd, the Hammers are looking to add a center-back to their lineup.

Thus, Max Kilman has become a realistic target for West Ham. Wolverhampton Wanderers, meanwhile, would seek £40 million to let go of the 26-year-old, though a winter transfer is doubtful. However, West Ham will only go after Kilman should they split this month with Aguerd.

However, it’s unclear if West Ham will be willing to pay £40 million to get Kilman. The captain of Wolverhampton Wanderers may perhaps make a move across the Premier League before the January transfer window closes. That will be interesting to see.
