Che Adams of Southampton is reportedly still on Nottingham Forest’s radar for the January transfer window.

Following the Saints’ Premier League relegation, reports surfaced last summer suggesting that Forest was considering a move for Adams. There were rumors that he “could cost up to £15million” and that Everton was among the teams interested.

The striker’s current Saints deal expires in the summer, and he has scored seven goals this season in all competitions. During the previous season, he also contributed three assists and five goals to the top flight.

Additionally, Forest is still interested in the forward, according to Premier Lig Turkiye, a Turkish news outlet. They are reportedly up against Crystal Palace and Wolves, two Premier League opponents.

The 27-year-old was “gutted” to watch Saints finish last season in the bottom half with just 25 points. “This season has been the most challenging of my career,” he remarked on Instagram.

“We have failed and unquestionably fallen short of everyone’s expectations, and I am deeply sad and upset about it. Since my first trip through Staplewood on July 1, 2019, and St Mary’s, I have given this club everything I have, but this year wasn’t enough. We will all grow from the mistakes we’ve made this season, myself included at the club.”

born in Leicester Adams paid an estimated £15 million to move from Birmingham City to Southampton in 2019. He has previously played for teams in the East Midlands, including non-league Oadby Town in Leicestershire and Derbyshire’s Ilkeston Town.
