Kris Moore, a highly regarded defender, is returning to Leeds United after participating in Hibernian’s Dubai training camp.
Nick Montgomery acknowledges that Hibernian could add Kris Moore, a promising player for Leeds United, on loan to strengthen their defensive lineup for the second half of the campaign. Moore participated in the Scottish Premiership team’s training camp in Dubai and is now returning to Elland Road.
Moore and Kanayo Megwa, who was called back from his loan at Airdrie, have been training with the starting lineup. Hibs manager Montgomery says he will discuss Moore’s future with United.
Since I’m a local boy from Leeds, it goes without saying that I think it’s great that the club allowed the player to come here. He’s had a fantastic opportunity,” Montgomery remarked.
Lewis Miller is currently away with the national team. If they win and advance to the championship, he might miss six or seven games.
“It was crucial that we get the chance to invite him in. He’s going back to Leeds, and we are going to talk. We’ll talk further if I think he can help the club in the future.
“Kanayo Megwa has greatly pleased me at right-back since returning from his loan period this week. Kris is mostly a center back who has also filled in at right back.
“There could be an opportunity or we could decide to stay with what we’ve got in the building and keep Kanayo Megwa from going back out on loan because he’s our player and the staff have been impressed with him this week in terms of the way that he’s training.”
Moore, a versatile player who can play center defense or right back, has led the Whites’ Premier League 2 team on multiple occasions this year. Despite making nearly 60 appearances for the team’s Under-21 squad, he has not been able to break through into Daniel Farke’s first team plans.
His present United deal goes until the summer of 2025.
