Feyenoord reportedly put Nottingham Forest full-back Neco Williams on their winter market target list on Wednesday, 1908.nl reported.
It has been supported by Thursday’s Algemeen Dagblad, which also offers additional information on the Dutch team’s ambitions for the 22-year-old.
The Nottingham Forest player is being considered as a target for the right-back position, which the Eredivisie team is hoping to fill in January.
Feyenoord’s interest in the Wales international isn’t concrete just yet, but the newspaper states he could become a serious option for them this month. Apart from him, the club’s director, Dennis Te Kloese, also has other names in his target list.
Operating as both left and right-back, Williams has made 14 appearances this season.
New Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo has used him as a substitute in the last two league games.
It’s not clear if this has any impact, as AD claim the Welshman is surprisingly open to leaving the Tricky Trees for Feyenoord in January.
This is to improve his chances of representing Wales at the Euros, provided they secure a place in the summer’s tournament.
