Football Insider reports that Wrexham’s bid for Luke Bolton from Salford City was turned down.

The Welsh team has focused on the English midfielder Bolton in an attempt to bolster their roster before the transfer window shuts. This season, he has made 19 appearances for his club and has provided four assists in those contests.

At the moment, Wrexham is two points behind League Two leaders Stockport County. Salford, meanwhile, are eight points above the bottom three in 20th place. The athlete was apparently courted by Phil Parkinson’s team, but their offer was reportedly rejected today.

Bolton joined Salford in 2022 after graduating from Manchester City’s academy, and he has since played 91 games for the team. In addition to stints with Wycombe Wanderers and Luton Town, he has also played on loan at Dundee United in Scotland. He played seven games for his country as an England U20 international.

It’s unclear if the team led by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds would pursue the guy further following this one. Transfermarkt estimates that he is currently worth £470k, however the amount offered is currently unknown.

Bolton has taken in a variety of duties this season, but he has mostly served as his team’s right midfielder. Wrexham frequently starts with two wing-backs, and this season, Ryan Barnett and Anthony Forde have split the right wing-back position, starting 15 and 14 games respectively.

The 24-year-old is a gifted young player who might provide answers for the Wrexham team in a number of areas. With half of the season remaining, the Red Dragons are in a great position, thus the player is probably drawn to the prospect of promotion.

Given his caliber, his team is right to want to hang onto him, since he will probably play a significant role in determining whether they can finish in the division this year.
