The Tycoon Roberto De Zerbi is a potential alternative for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, and Merseyside reporter Chris Bascombe believes that RDZ should not be undervalued because “no opponent has won more praise” from the German coach.
While Reds great Xabi Alonso seems to be the front-runner for the position, De Zerbi is also being discussed and appears to be a favorite among Liverpool supporters. Klopp confirmed on Friday morning that he will be leaving Anfield at the end of the current campaign.
Chris Bascombe, a Merseyside football reporter for Telegraph Media Group, has outlined why the Italian tactician is a viable option to succeed Klopp at Anfield in the upcoming campaign.
The English journalist stated, “No opponent has won more praise from Klopp than Roberto De Zerbi.” The owner Fenway Sports Group was notified of Klopp’s plan in November and has since begun the search for Liverpool’s next coach.
Before joining Shakhtar Donetsk in 2021 and Brighton in 2022, De Zerbi coached Foggia, Palermo, Benevento, and Sassuolo in Serie A.
