Before the January transfer window expires, Rangers might be persuaded to part with one of their “brightest” players.

Archie Stevens made his first-team debut at the beginning of the 2022–2023 season in a Viaplay Cup victory over Queen of the South. He is presently playing for the Rangers B team.

Since then, he hasn’t been able to secure any more opportunities, but if Brighton is successful in their rumored pursuit of our teenage winger, he may be leaving the Ibrox front doors nonetheless.

The Daily Record claims that the Premier League team will make a six-figure offer for Stevens, an England U18 international at the moment.

The Seagulls have a reputation for spotting youthful potential in the shadows and nurturing it into a player good enough to compete in the top division in England. And it appears that’s what they want with Stevens.

According to the same report, the Rangers may profit handsomely from add-ons in the sale and would sell for a large profit.

Archie Stevens on moving to Rangers

At the age of sixteen, Stevens was plucked from AFC Wimbledon by Rangers in June 2021. Despite having other suitors interested in him, he ultimately decided for Ibrox because of the club’s immense prestige.

In the summer of 2022, he stated on the Rangers official website: “I moved here last June from AFC Wimbledon and I just couldn’t turn it down when this opportunity came up.”

“It’s an exciting move for me, and thus far, everything is going great.” Relocating to a new city at such a young age is a significant event. Even though I was just 16, Glasgow is a beautiful city, and the club has made it quite simple for me to settle down.

To tell the truth, I gave in right away. A few players joined at the same time as me in the summer, and we have all made ourselves at home. Among my alternatives, Rangers was the most notable.

With its rich history, devoted following, and direct route to the first team, this enormous club has it all. From the first day, the facilities, the coaching, and the training just stuck out to me.

The club’s history is something I haven’t really seen before, and I was amazed when I arrived. “A lot of big clubs think they have the best facilities, but when you come up here, look around and see what is on offer, it is something you can’t turn down.”
