That concludes it. The Baltimore Ravens have returned to the AFC Championship Game after years of misfortune. They were able to survive the most of the harm, even though they still had injuries. Though to be fair, no team this deep into the playoffs is genuinely healthy, even with their defense. The Ravens are particularly concerned about Marlon Humphrey and Rock Ya-Sin, two of their cornerbacks.
Fortunately for the Ravens, Adam Schefter reports that Humphrey and Ya-Sin should be cleared to play. For Baltimore, who depends on their superb defense to shut down opponents, this is terrific news.
“A source reports that both Ravens wide receivers Marlon Humphrey (calf) and Rock Ya-Sin (knee), who were both listed as questionable for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, are expected to play against the Chiefs.”
Naturally, the potent offense of the Ravens will garner the most of attention. This is Lamar Jackson’s first season in the AFCCG and his first with a stable receiving group. That put them as the favorites to win it all, along with Todd Monken’s strategies and a strong running game. The Chiefs, however, cannot afford to ignore Baltimore’s defense.
The defense of the Ravens is arguably the best in the NFL right now. They possess a potent linebacker group, a secondary that is ready to stop any receiver that comes their way, and a pass rush that can put pressure on the quarterback. Considering that they will probably be facing the Chiefs’ top receivers, Ya-Sin and Humphrey are essential members of their defense.
In this instance, Rashee Rice, Justyn Watson, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and, of course, Travis Kelce will be in their matches. Although it’s not as strong as it once was, the Chiefs offense may still be dangerous with Mahomes at the quarterback position. Either way, it will be a really thrilling match to witness.
