The most recent rumors and information regarding transfers involving Brighton & Hove Albion and other Premier League teams

This week, negotiations to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a midfielder for Leicester City, will continue at Brighton & Hove Albion.

For the second half of the season, the Seagulls are eager to acquire a midfield player, and Dewsbury-Hall emerged as their top target last week.

Leicester is apparently holding out for £30 million, while Brighton has reportedly begun bidding at about £20 million.

Leicester is expected to sign a midfield player from Inter Milan today, which could lessen the blow of losing Dewsbury-Hall. This could mean that the possibilities of completing a deal have increased.

“Leicester City will complete deal to sign Stefano Sensi from Inter today,” wrote transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano on social media.

“Loan for guaranteed immediate payment of €500k, with a mandatory buyout option exceeding €2 million in the event of Premier League promotion.”

“Medical/travel to be scheduled as soon as the documents will be ready.”

Sensi’s arrival at the promotion-chasing Foxes may make it possible for Dewsbury-Hall to sign with Brighton prior to this Thursday’s transfer deadline.

The 25-year-old Leicester player has previously drawn interest from Arsenal and Newcastle, but Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle, acknowledged today that players must depart in order to make room for new arrivals.

Adding a player without subtracting another player is probably something we won’t do. “I don’t think that’s feasible,” Howe remarked.

Brighton, who hardly ever pay large transfer costs in January, would be wise to sign Dewsbury Hall, who has nine goals and nine assists this season. The Seagulls advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup with their 5-2 victory against Sheffield United last Saturday. They are now sixth in the Premier League and have advanced to the Europa League knockout stages.

The Seagulls are still rebuilding their midfield after losing Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister to Chelsea and Liverpool, respectively, in the summer.
