According to reports, West Ham United and the £25 million star have reached an agreement ahead of a possible January deal.
In my opinion, West Ham has already had success with the January transfer window with the loan signing of Kalvin Phillips.
But before the winter window closes, David Moyes will bring a world-class forward to the London Stadium, which will be the icing on the cake for the Hammers.
Ace of Al-Ittihad Jota, 24, is reportedly open to the possibility of joining West Ham, and he is one of the players who is most strongly linked to a move to the London Stadium this month.
Now that the Hammers appear to be making a play for the former Celtic star, it appears that a deal is even closer to completion.
Before the January move, West Ham and the player come to an arrangement.
Journalist Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reports that the Hammers and Jota had come to an agreement over a move to the London Stadium prior to deadline day.
It is explicitly stated, meanwhile, that Al-Ittihad and West Ham have not yet agreed on the conditions of a transfer for him to East London.
Jota at the London Stadium would be amazing; hopefully, Moyes can pull this one off.
The Al-Ittihad player is a natural performer, and he would give Moyes’s attacking options real quality.
We would have a real player on our hands if he could find his Celtic form again.
In 83 games for Celtic, the Benfica youth product scored an astounding 28 goals and provided 26 assists (Transfermarkt).
He has amazing technical ability, is a trickster, and would bring us the right output in front of goal.
Since leaving Celtic to join Al-Ittihad for over £25 million back in July, the 24-year-old has had an extremely difficult time adjusting to life in Saudi Arabia (Sky Sports). However, I believe that returning to Britain might be the catalyst for his success.
Additionally, I believe that West Ham would be in a great position to move forward if we were able to sign Jota during the January transfer window.
