Since the beginning of January, Nuno Espirito Santo has truly changed his mind about the circumstances surrounding his goalkeepers at Nottingham Forest.

This is thanks to a piece that The Athletic published.

What has been said about Espirito Santo’s feelings toward the Forest goalkeeper situation, then? Let’s investigate more closely.

Nuno Espirito Santo now desires to join with a Forest team that he never thought he would
It seems that things have now come full circle, since Forest is currently searching for a new goalkeeper.

Kasper Schmeichel has been connected to a move to Forest in recent days, and other names have also surfaced.

According to a report from The Athletic, Espirito Santo is now looking to sign someone he never would have thought to sign.

It has been reported that the head coach of Forest didn’t anticipate needing a new goalkeeper even at the beginning of January.

But with Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos, things have gotten dangerous, and someone else is needed.

Espirito Santo may change his mind once more if Turner puts on a strong display tonight, and Forest doesn’t have much time to get things straight.

Although Forest’s pursuit of a different goalie is absurd, it might save the season.
Forest went from having excellent goalkeepers like Brice Samba, Dean Henderson, and Keylor Navas to the mess they have currently in a matter of years.

In the end, having a reliable goalie can make all the difference in the Premier League. Things are in the balance this season after it kept Forest up last season.

Although Forest invested £20 million in goalkeepers for Steve Cooper during the summer, Espirito Santo now wants another one.

It doesn’t make much financial sense to recruit a new goalkeeper when Wayne Hennessey and Ethan Horvath are still employed by the team.

Forest is going to put in a lot of effort to get some work done before Thursday’s deadline.

If adding a new goalkeeper on a temporary basis or on loan might maintain Forest in the Premier League, then maybe the expense would be justified.
