Lino Sousa, a left back for Arsenal, has agreed to join Aston Villa on a permanent basis.
Some of the best young players in the nation are currently part of the Gunners’ roster, and they are always producing more talent.
Sousa is a highly regarded talent in English football and has played often for Arsenal’s junior levels.
It’s been difficult to get promoted to the first team, even with my best efforts.
Villa has effectively lured him to join their squad by taking advantage of his failure to make an impact in the first team. According to Fabrizio Romano, Villa and Arsenal have agreed a deal for the 19-year-old’s signature.
Only Arsenal’s viewpoint
Sousa is a great talent, but he has made the decision to go because we are too big for him to play regularly.
He thinks he is making the right choice for his future at Villa, where he will have an easier time breaking into the first squad.
He might yet have a future at the Emirates, and we wish him the best. We might sign him again if he does well at Villa Park and develops into one of the best players in the league in his position.
He needs to establish himself in the first team for the time being by playing regularly.
