The 20-year-old has agreed to a contract that will keep him in place until the summer of 2026, with a 12-month extension option.
After moving to Turf Moor from Stoke in 2020, Sassi captained several of the Clarets’ youth teams. His first professional contract, which he signed in 2022, is only scheduled to expire the following summer.
