TEAMtalk sources have verified that Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg have agreed on a cost for goalkeeper Matz Sels to sign a permanent contract.
Giovani Reyna, a star striker for Borussia Dortmund, and Rodrigo Ribeiro, a gifted young striker, were both signed by the Tricky Trees on loan this month.
But Nuno Espirito Santo has long considered getting a new goalkeeper since he isn’t comfortable with Matt Turner, his first choice right now.
Sam Johnstone of Crystal Palace and Mats Selz of Strasbourg were named by Forest as their two primary goalkeeper targets, according to TEAMtalk.
According to our sources, Sels and Forest have agreed on a transfer fee. Sels, 31, will travel over for his physical later this afternoon.
Nuno is hoping that the addition of the former Newcastle United player would increase their chances of making it through this season.

As the purchase closes, Strasbourg will get a fee of approximately €6/7 million. Sels, I’m taking a medical flight to Nottingham.
With Sels his route to the City Ground, Forest appears poised to complete their third January signing, barring any last-minute surprises.
