Despite terms being agreed in principle for him to go, Maxwel Cornet is expected to remain at West Ham beyond the end of the transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
On February 1, the publication announced via Twitter that a deal had been reached with Crystal Palace for the Ivorian to be loaned to Selhurst Park.
However, as things stand, the former Burnley wide player will continue to play at the London Stadium until the deadline.
On the last day of the transfer market, Pablo Fornals is headed to Real Betis, while Said Benrahma is heading to Lyon, two more attackers for the Hammers.
According to the update, Maxwel Cornet is expected to remain at West Ham even if a loan agreement in principle has been reached with Crystal Palace.
Although Roy Hodgson at Palace and possibly Cornet himself will be quite frustrated, this result may not be shocking if two more players depart.
David Moyes would undoubtedly be overburdened if three players left without a replacement joining them, given how challenging it is to complete incoming signings during the January window.
It appears unlikely that a transaction will close because Cornet is listed as a reserve for the London Stadium Premier League matchup versus Bournemouth.
This would mark the second consecutive window in which a scheduled game has obstructed exits from London Stadium.
The 27-year-old may have preferred the chance for more playing time in South London after making just two of his ten Premier League appearances this season, but if Fornals and Benrahma depart, he might still receive it at West Ham.
Though it is extremely doubtful that a physical could be finished and the paperwork finished in the hours before the deadline, there is theoretically time after the game concludes to take action with Palace.
