After three seasons with Wrexham, co-owner Rob McElhenney of the Red Dragons sent a farewell message to defender Bryce Hosannah.
Consequently, what happened?
On the day of the deadline, Wrexham made an announcement stating that the full-back and the club had mutually ended their contract as per their agreement. McElhenney wrote the defender on X a message in an endearing display of grace.
MCELHENNEY’S QUOTES
McElhenney wrote, “Great player and great young man,” in a post on X. We shall miss him.
THE LARGER IMAGE
Following his relocation from Leeds United to North Wales in 2021, Hosannah participated in 46 games across all competitions with the Red Dragons. After helping the squad win the championship and set a record the previous season, the 24-year-old has only made three appearances this season in the National League.
FUTURE PLANS FOR WREXHAM?
The Welsh team is going through a clear-out after making four acquisitions this transfer window, including Hossanah. Ryan Reynolds, McElhenney’s co-owner, and his team will have been mindful of keeping their roster below the League Two registration cap of 21 players.
