The Rangers’ Tuesday (6 February) home match against Aberdeen at Ibrox could provide an unwanted diversion.

As per a story published by BBC Sport on Sunday, February 4, the Dons are expected to name Neil Warnock as their temporary manager.

After firing Barry Robson earlier this week, Aberdeen is now trying to replace him with the incredibly experienced Warnock.

According to the same article, Warnock might be available for the much anticipated trip to Ibrox.

As a self-described Rangers fan, Warnock has already declared his intention to challenge Michael Beale for the job earlier this season.

Managerial track record of Neil Warnock
There is no one who has received more promotions in the English Football League than the Englishman, and his management history south of the border deserves admiration.

Regardless of manager, Rangers are, of course, a far superior team than Aberdeen.

But everyone knows that the “new manager bounce” is true, provided that Warnock’s coming is confirmed in advance.

Additionally, neutrals will be watching the game much more intently to see how Warnock performs.

But if there’s one thing we’ve learned from Philippe Clement, it’s that the Belgian will make sure each and every one of his players is laser-focused.

Rangers must make sure they ruin Warnock’s big moment even though he might succeed in this new chapter—after all, he usually does.

In other Rangers news, Philippe Clement acknowledges that a choice he had to make “hurt” him.
