Star pitcher Corbin Burnes, just acquired, talks with Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman about pitching.

The Baltimore Orioles made a wise choice in acquiring Corbin Burnes through trade. When healthy, Burnes is perhaps the best pitcher in baseball, which is precisely what the Orioles needed.

Although there are worries that he will just be a one-year tenant, the front desk staff must reassure him that they are prepared to win and will provide him whatever he desires when the time comes. Burnes, who is only 29 years old, is a good fit for this youthful, gifted club.

Burnes is aware that there are always difficulties when moving to a new place. Throwing to Adley Rutschman, a new catcher who will also be a work in progress, will be one of those primary ones.

Despite those difficulties, Burnes is eager to collaborate with him. Regarding Foul Territory, he said the following.

“One of the game’s most intriguing young catchers… Engage in those discussions with him, give him pens, make yourself comfortable with him, and let him feel at ease around me.”

The procedure is lengthier than most people understand, Burnes continued.

They should be able to come to an understanding more quickly because Rutschman is seen as one of the best defensive catchers in baseball. If not, they still have the entirety of Spring Training and some of the season to get to know one another.

Burnes wasn’t included with the intention of winning just regular-season games. After losing to the Texas Rangers in the ALDS last season, Baltimore wants to contend in the postseason, which is why they made this move.

Bringing in a three-time All-Star and Cy Young Award winner should help them achieve their postseason objectives.
