Wrexham needs to start finding a way to win away from home, according to Phil Parkinson.

The Peninsula Stadium hosted a 3-1 loss to Salford City on Saturday, marking the Reds’ fourth loss in six League Two away games.

Wrexham had a steep hill to climb after conceding two goals in the first sixteen minutes. Sam Dalby pulled one back before halftime, but Salford scored their third goal early in the second half.

With a game remaining, the Reds are currently fourth in the league and just six points behind leaders Stockport County. However, Parkinson is aware that the team needs to improve on the road, particularly because four of the final six games will be played away from home.

“We have to find a way on our travels when the pitch isn’t great, or the other team plays a certain way, to come through these games with points,” he stated.

The condition of the pitches is declining, so playing and rolling the ball about won’t be ideal.

“This is football from League Two, and the games are different.

“We must make sure we are prepared to face it since it is harsh and physically demanding.

Two instances in that initial era have shown to be costly.
