Paul Brown believes there is “every chance” Maxwel Cornet can establish himself as a regular at West Ham United.
Because of their “thin” roster and the projected final third rotation from Hammers manager David Moyes, the journalist has predicted that the winger would perform well.
Despite interest from Crystal Palace, the club was open to hearing proposals for the attacker during the January transfer window, but he has stayed at the London Stadium.
Brown told GIVEMESPORT, “They have a very thin squad, so he will get opportunities now.” “Some rotation is required in forward areas, and he has every opportunity to force his way in more frequently if he can find some form.
“I believe that when everything is considered, it will ignite a fire under Maxwel Cornet and hopefully bring out the best in him.”
Will Cornet be the star of West Ham?
This season, West Ham has been extremely busy. After winning the FA Cup and League Cup, the East London team is currently playing in both the Premier League and the Europa League.
However, manager David Moyes hasn’t given Cornet much of a look-in despite the hectic timetable. Due to his lack of playing time, the winger was the subject of transfer rumors throughout the most recent transfer window. He has only made 12 appearances across all competitions this season.
Cornet’s manager has subsequently given him minutes after an attempt to move was unsuccessful, but it is unclear what the man in the dugout has in store for the attacker.
Cornet will be licking his lips after Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals left the London Stadium during the transfer window.
However, if players like Michael Antonio and Lucas Paqueta return from injury, he can be knocked back down to earth.
In other West Ham news, a “incomprehensible” transfer window development has left the Hammers in need of an apology.
