We are happy to announce a cooperation between Wrexham AFC and STATSports, the top supplier of GPS player-tracking technology worldwide.

The agreement, which will last until the conclusion of the 2026–2027 season, will give the Club access to STATSports’ state-of-the-art GPS equipment and top-notch data analysis tools.

“STATSports’ GPS technology and data analysis software will play a key role in helping us to maximize player performance across the club at all levels, including our first team, academy, and women’s team,” stated Kevin Mulholland, Head of Performance Medicine and Sports Science at Wrexham AFC.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with a business that is leading the way in innovative sports technology.”

Some of the top football clubs and associations in the world, such as Brazil, England, Paris St. Germain, and Juventus, use STATSports’ GPS monitoring system since it has been shown to improve player performance.

Clubs can use the technology to track their players’ physical performance in real time, gathering information on measures like speed, distance traveled, acceleration, deceleration, and high-intensity efforts.

The sophisticated data analysis software from STATSports is then used to analyze this data, giving coaches and medical personnel insights into player performance that can be used to improve training plans and sessions.

Sean O’Connor, co-founder of STATSports, commented on the new collaboration, saying, “We’re excited to be working with Wrexham AFC.”

“Wrexham’s development and drive for success aligns well with STATSports’ core beliefs.

“This four-year partnership is evidence that the club is planning for the future,” the club said. With every cooperation, we have the opportunity to further improve and integrate our technology to support all of our athletes and athletic clients in their pursuit of greater success.

“We’re excited that Wrexham AFC, who joins teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Man United, and Tottenham as our domestic partners, is adding to our impact on the EFL.”
