Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, a co-owner of Wrexham, has disclosed that he is putting a lot of effort into trying to construct a new training facility for the team.
Consequently, what happened?
Since Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over, Wrexham has had tremendous success, and the famous pair has been ready to spend in the team. After the Red Dragons were promoted from the National League to League Two the previous season, Reynolds has said he wants to see more improvements at the team but is having trouble right now.
RYAN REYNOLDS’ QUOTES
He stated on the podcast Yours Mine Away: “We really need a training ground. We are considering quite a few different solutions. However, it’s enormous for everyone, not just the club. We want everyone who lives in Wrexham to have that experience as well. Saying “let’s build this thing” or “let’s grow this thing” is not so simple. Prior to becoming permitted, you must have 800 permissions.”

However, Reynolds has no shortage of experience conquering challenges during his time at Wrexham. The Deadpool actor has been working hard to get the SToK Racecourse, which opened for business in December 2023, to open a new temporary Kop stand. The ultimate goal of the club is to upgrade the renowned old ground and provide more space to accommodate the rising demand for tickets.
FUTURE PLANS FOR WREXHAM?
On Saturday, Wrexham will play host to Bradford City at the SToK Racecourse in League Two, continuing their campaign for promotion. For the first time since the manager took over in 2021, Parkinson’s squad has lost its past three games in all competitions. They will be looking to go back to winning ways.
