The latest contract update gives David Moyes the last word as his dismal streak continues.

Football Insider has revealed that David Moyes will have the last say over any prospective contract extension. Although the Scot is in his second tenure at West Ham, the team has lost its previous five games due to his poor performance.

In the most recent development, though, claims from Football Insider claim that a new contract was “ready to go” in December. Despite this, Moyes has not yet provided a clear explanation for the situation, even though his current contract is scheduled to end in June.

The most recent sources suggest that an extension offer is still on the table, and whether it is accepted or not is entirely up to the former Red Devils coach. This is despite the shift in results, which have included the loss to the Gunners and a 3-0 loss to Manchester United.

The offer, according to sources, is for a two-and-a-half-year contract that would keep him in Stratford until June 2026. The club’s owners will now try to arrange a meeting with the former Real Sociedad manager to receive a clear response. In a statement from December of last year, Moyes stated that he intended to remain with the Hammers, saying, “We will complete the deal. I don’t think there are many issues with it.

The former centre back has only managed the Irons for six months in the 2017–18 campaign, making this his second spell with the team. The second time around, Moyes led the team to a record-breaking 65 Premier League points, placing them in sixth position and securing their spot in the UEFA Europa League for 2021–2022.

It was the first time in the team’s history that Moyes guided the squad to a top seven finish in consecutive seasons. The next season, he guided the team to a top seven finish and a Europa League semifinal. Naturally, Moyes was also in charge of West Ham’s victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League, which allowed the team to defeat Fiorentina 2-1 and go undefeated throughout the competition.
