Wrexham, who play Notts County on Saturday, are happy to have ended a four-game losing streak, according to defender Max Cleworth.

Wrexham defeated Sutton United 2-1 midweek, and Elliot Lee’s late goal put them up to fourth in League Two.
Before the victory against Sutton, the Dragons had lost three straight league games and an FA Cup encounter at Blackburn. It was a much-needed win obviously, to get some confidence back,” Cleworth stated.
I think we knew it wasn’t going to be the nicest of games, constant throw-ins down the line – we had to stand up to that, But being a group and getting over the line was the most important thing.”

‘Strong, resilient’ team is praised by manager Phil Parkinson following victory at Sutton
Cleworth insists that despite Wrexham’s recent bad run—which included a 1-0 loss at home to Bradford City last Saturday—the team always believed they would turn things around.
We know how good we are as a team, and obviously the run we’ve had over the last few seasons has been incredible,” he stated.
I think you can overlook things at times, it’s just a blip – we’re still in a good position in the league.”
The Dragons will now focus on Notts County, who joined Wrexham in being promoted to League Two the previous campaign.

The teams’ encounter at the Racecourse last term is still talked about; Wrexham won 3-2 in April of that year, which helped them win the National League.
I think obviously because of the rivalry there’s possibly an added edge to it, but it’s three points like any other game and we’ll approach it in exactly the same way,” Cleworth stated.
Obviously from last year we know how good a team they are, they’ve got some very good individual players, they’ve changed the manager and they’ll be coming here looking for the three points.”
A bad run had also been going for Notts County before to their 3-1 triumph at Newport County on Tuesday. After six games, it was the Magpies’ first victory.
