Roy Hodgson is expected to resign from his position as manager of Crystal Palace following a health concern, and Oliver Glasner will take over at Selhurst Park.
After being admitted to the hospital on Thursday, Roy Hodgson is expected to resign as manager of Crystal Palace, and a replacement has already been confirmed.
Oliver Glasner is prepared to succeed the former England manager, who is presently enjoying his second tenure at Selhurst Park. It’s understood that Hodgson, who felt ill after a training session and needed medical attention, is still in a stable state.
Steve Parish, the chairman of Palace, accompanied the 76-year-old to the hospital, but according to the Guardian, he is anticipated to announce that Hodgson will step down from his position for the final four months of his contract and be replaced by Glasner. Before Monday’s match against Everton, Glasner, who guided Frankfurt to the Europa League in 2022, may be announced as the next Eagles manager, albeit it is improbable that he will take over. This week, Hodgson’s aides Ray Lewington and Paddy McCarthy have been making sure the players are ready.
It wasn’t even until this week that Hodgson’s health was in jeopardy. Chelsea scored two goals late in the game on Monday night, causing the Eagles to lose again.
