Daniel Farke, the manager of Leeds United, has stated that Pascal Struijk will have another scan early in the next week. Due to an adductor injury, the 24-year-old Dutch centre back has not appeared in a game since Preston North End’s 2-1 loss on Boxing Day (December 26).

Leeds manager Farke has acknowledged that Struijk will now reevaluate the situation, and once the results are in, they should have a better notion of when he may return.

In statements obtained by LeedsLive from a news conference held in advance of Saturday’s (17 December) match against Plymouth Argyle, Farke stated: “Pascal will have a re-scan at the beginning of next week.” Our perspective will be more obvious.
Leeds United’s Pascal Struijk will undergo another injury scan.
Leeds has been outstanding since Struijk’s injury, and their incredible run of play has put them second in the Championship—although Southampton still has a game in hand over the Whites in an exciting promotion battle.

Being able to partner Joe Rodon at the back instead of playing central midfield has allowed Ethan Ampadu to fill the vacuum mostly, but having Struijk available would undoubtedly be a tremendous assist ahead of a vital few months.

Currently, there is some uncertainty over the severity of the problem and the timeline for Struijk’s return. However, it is hoped that a follow-up scan would provide greater clarity for all parties involved, particularly Farke, regarding Struijk’s return date. Leeds only need to maintain their focus up until then. This weekend they have another long trip to Plymouth to complete, and it is crucial that they return to West Yorkshire with three points. Another senior ace for Leeds United is doubtful to play against Plymouth, according to other news.
