Oliver Glasner has agreed to take over as manager of Crystal Palace after Roy Hodgson announced his resignation due to a health scare.

Consequently, what happened?
The Sun believes that Palace and former Frankfurt boss Glasner have reached an agreement, following Hodgson’s hospitalisation due to a health concern. In the midst of heated speculation about his future, the former England manager became ill after training on Thursday. According to the source, the two sides have decided to part ways, with Paddy McCarthy taking command of Monday night’s match against Everton.

It’s unknown when Glasner will move to Selhurst Park because Palace is reportedly acutely conscious of the sensitivity involved in appointing a new manager, especially in light of Hodgson’s health. He has agreed to a contract that would pay him £4 million ($5 million) per year through 2026, although he won’t be in the dugout for the match against Everton.
