In his nine career meetings with Leicester, the striker has only managed one goal and two victories.
Patrick Bamford is expected to miss Leeds United’s match against Leicester City on Friday due to a calf injury that will keep him out for an additional ten days.
The five-time season scorer was not present for Saturday’s Championship match against Plymouth Argyle, and manager Daniel Farke acknowledged that he doubted the attacker would be ready for the league leaders’ visit.
Since the beginning of the year, Bamford has demonstrated encouraging play, scoring in four of the six Championship games he has participated in. Due to his problem, he was unable to play in the club’s 4-0 victory against Swansea City in the middle of the week. According to his management, he won’t be back until the FA Cup match against AFC Bournemouth later this month.
Regarding Bamford, Farke stated on Friday that “he has some calf issues.” We anticipate that he won’t be absent for too long. He won’t be available for Leicester, in my opinion. We anticipate that he will return for either the league match or the cup game.
In his nine meetings with the Foxes in his career, Bamford has only managed one goal. Leeds will welcome back another defender this week, but left-back Sam Byram and two other players will miss the game against Leicester.
“Sam (Byram) has hamstring issues and won’t be available for this game or Leicester,” Farke continued. Jamie Shackleton has returned and is set to go. We are fortunate to have one more. Pascal Struijk and Stuart Dallas are out, but everyone else is good.”
