Today’s Premier League matchup between Nottingham Forest and David Moyes must be won. This is the game he dare not lose in many ways.

The Hammers manager had a quiet press conference prior to the game. His remarks were meaningless since the media gathered were either unaware of the gravity of his predicament or too afraid to ask the genuinely important questions. As a result, no one in the news conference truly emphasised how important this game is to the manager.

Moyes will require exceptional man-management abilities to energise a West Ham team that is likely to be quite dejected after losing to Arsenal 6-0. The manager of the Hammers will also need to devise a completely new tactical strategy that incorporates more offensive players. Michail Antonio’s comeback could help the Hammers assault, but it’s unclear if he’ll be ready to play. Without a doubt, Moyes’ position is in danger, and a crushing defeat to Forest might spell his demise.
