Steven Fletcher, who won the game for Wrexham against Notts County, received high marks from his manager Phil Parkinson.

Consequently, what happened?
Parkinson showered Fletcher with plaudits after he gave Wrexham the lead against Notts County after 20 minutes. With Paul Mullin leading the line, the seasoned striker gave the Welsh team the lead with a shot that went into the top of the net. Parkinson’s team resisted Notts County’s demands to maintain a spotless record and end a bad run of play.

PARKINSON’S MENTION
Parkinson commented to Matt Waters following the game, “Fletcher is the only player you want in the box. “He poses such a threat when it comes to him. While I’m happy for him, Fletcher and Mullin are vital members of the team. “Fletcher and Mullin both have the nous to do that when you play a team that has such technical ability. It’s that five yards of work and detail of when to press.”

With this win, the Red Dragons’ push for promotion has been reignited, and they are now just three points behind the league leaders. If Wrexham wins their remaining games against both sides, they will move up to second place, surpassing Mansfield and level on points with leaders Stockport. Although Wrexham has already received plaudits for their promotion qualities, they must continue to perform well to disprove everyone.

FUTURE PLANS FOR WREXHAM?
In their quest for promotion, Wrexham hopes to pick up three more points when they visit MK Dons on Tuesday. The Red Dragons’ goal is to play League One football and not put themselves in danger of missing the playoffs.
