Despite admitting that he is happy at Brighton & Hove Albion, Roberto De Zerbi—who has been linked to both Barcelona and Liverpool—has stated that he is open to working for “a big, big team” in the future.

Due to the resignations of Xavi and Jurgen Klopp, both Liverpool and Barcelona are searching for a new manager.
De Zerbi of Brighton is a front-runner for both positions after making an impression in the Premier League. Since leading the Seagulls to the Europa League, the Italian has enjoyed great success.
In an interview with Sky Sports, De Zerbi said that although helping Brighton is his first objective, he is still determined to contend for championships in the future. De Zerbi said, “We feel we can write another part of Brighton’s history. Everyone is aware of their role, and we are doing all in our power to satisfy both the club’s employees and supporters. We’ll do our best, we promise.

It is an honour to learn that major teams are considering me. Though I am proud, my daily priorities are my work. “I want to compete as best I can, therefore I will talk to the club and the owner, Tony Bloom, about the future. After I fully get the idea, working in a large team or another large team won’t be an issue.
“I would like to compete in and win the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, and Champions League during my career, but there isn’t a certain time that you have to go,

Since I was born at AC Milan, I don’t view Milan as a typical club. I shall always be appreciative of Milan for the rest of my life.I adore Italy, my home country, and Italian football. Undoubtedly, returning to my home country to work is one of my goals, although I’m not sure when that will happen.
“I have to thank Brighton and all of the coaches and people involved in [and supporting] the Premier League in the UK. I am feeling very well in the Premier League. “However, the issue is not with where you work; rather, it is with how you work.”

Graham Potter joined Chelsea in September 2022, and De Zerbi took over as Brighton’s manager. The Italian led the Seagulls to their best-ever league finish in his debut season with the team, taking sixth place in the Premier League standings and earning a first-ever trip to Europe. Brighton won their group, which also included Ajax, Marseille, and AEK Athens, to advance to the Europa League round of sixteen.

They are now ahead of Chelsea, West Ham, and Newcastle United in the league standings. Large teams are anticipated to pursue De Zerbi at some point in his career, much as Potter left Brighton for a better opportunity. With his club playing some of the greatest football in the league, the Italian has become well-known.
