According to Glasgow World, Arian Allen has finalised his four-year contract after agreeing to join Rangers from Everton.

Following the club’s official announcement, the website stated on February 20 that the 16-year-old will stay at Ibrox until 2028 at the latest, when he will join Steven Smith’s Under 18s. After six years at Goodison Park, Allen became apparent as a future star and has since been characterised as a “dynamic” forward who can play wherever along the front line. This season, the young player has already participated in four U18s games. He has accrued 60 minutes as a replacement at a level that is far higher than expected of him, and he has even picked up one assist.

Rangers claim potential future Ibrox star

The potential of 16-year-old Allen, who has voiced his happiness at moving to Scotland from Merseyside, should thrill Rangers supporters.

With enough effort and growth, Philippe Clement’s use of youth thus far this season should instill faith in the recently arrived player that he can eventually make his way into the senior squad.

Having made his international debut with Northern Ireland, Ross McCausland is the perfect example of what it takes to gain a senior debut under the present boss.

Clement’s faith in his young players is demonstrated by Robby McCrorie, Oscar Cortes, Dujon Sterling, Leon King, Mohammed Diomande, and Oscar Cortes; Allen has the potential to be the club’s next great star.

Allen will undoubtedly need a few years to mature appropriately and learn the Rangers way, but he has a genuine chance to play for one of the top teams in the UK—a chance that not many young players are given.
