Club president Joan Laporta is interested in learning more about Brighton manager De Zerbi, therefore Barcelona is also keeping an eye on him. Brighton knows they can lose their manager at the end of the season, and they know exactly who they want to take over as manager, according to Portuguese publication Maisfutebol.

According to rumours, Brighton wants Sporting Lisbon coach Amorim in the event that De Zerbi leaves. The 39-year-old Portuguese coach is well-regarded for his youth and is expected to soon be employed in one of Europe’s elite leagues.

Brighton believes that Amorim is the best candidate to succeed De Zerbi, who is rumoured to have personally approved of his campaign. The Italian feels the Portuguese has the qualifications to take over his position at the Amex Stadium and wants to leave Brighton in capable hands.
