Charlie Allen, a young player for Leeds United, has acknowledged that he ought to have scored more goals and provided more assists for the Whites this season before going on loan to York City.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been a notable player for the Whites youth squad since moving to Leeds from Linfield in the summer of 2020. Allen has made two goals and one assist in Leeds’ Premier League 2 this season. As a result, the Whites have chosen to send the young player on a temporary loan to York City so he can play senior level football. Although Allen believes he has performed well at Leeds thus far, he emphasised that he could have increased his season total in goals and assists.

However, as long as he is playing for the National League team, the 20-year-old wants to contribute goals and assists to York City. Allen told York City’s official media, “I think I have been doing well, but I am probably quite harsh on myself. I would rather say I should have probably had more goals and more assists this season.”
Hopefully, I can provide that when I come here.

The young player from Leeds will work under Neal Ardley, although it’s unclear if he’ll make his debut tonight against Oldham Athletic.
