In light of David Moyes’ hazy future at the London Stadium, West Ham United is being connected to several managers. The Hammers have not won a game in 2024 and have lost their previous three Premier League games without scoring a goal.

Some West Ham supporters carried signs that read “Moyes out” while they watched their team lose 2-0 to Nottingham Forest last weekend, according to talkSPORT. A few managers that the Hammers are reportedly considering are also included in the report. Although Thomas Tuchel of Bayern Munich is the most well-known, there are other candidates that are being mentioned. Steve Cooper, who managed Forest most recently, is one of them. He is “another target” for West Ham, along with Graham Potter and Julen Lopetegui, according to TalkSPORT.

The 44-year-old was fired by the East Midlands club in December, and he is not currently dating.
Targeting “exceptional” Steve Cooper is West Ham.
Although Cooper’s tenure at Forest came to an end on a negative note, the supporters’ response to his dismissal was divided, with many believing he shouldn’t have been let go.

They were at the bottom of the Championship when Cooper took over for the Reds in September 2021. Through the playoffs that same season, he helped them qualify for the Premier League and kept them there the next year.
Michael Owen stated on Premier League Productions in May, “I think Steve Cooper has done an exceptional job and I wouldn’t be shy of picking him again next year.”He’s an amazing manager who has performed admirably despite numerous changes to that team.”

With Moyes’ West Ham contract expiring at the end of the current campaign, it seems less and less likely that he will stick around for the upcoming campaign given his dismal run of play. For the Hammers, Cooper wouldn’t be a bad choice. The fact that he is a young manager with some Premier League experience and is single at the moment spares the East Londoners from having to reimburse another team.
