Under Philippe Clement, Rangers have been flying high. The Ibrox team is currently atop the league for the first time under the Belgian.

After defeating St Johnstone 3-0 on Sunday, the Gers moved up to the top of the Scottish Premiership, two points clear of Celtic, their bitter rivals.

Since succeeding Michael Beale in the dugout at Ibrox early this season, Clement has been having fun, and the team has been playing well across the board.

Despite the encouraging outcomes, the manager didn’t let that stop him from adding Fabio Silva, Oscar Cortes, and Mohamed Diomande to his team as soon as possible.

However, adolescent Zak Lovelace might have been added as a face to the first team photo.

After suffering a hamstring injury during his first-ever start for the senior team back in October against St Mirren, the 18-year-old has just recently made a comeback to the pitch.

When Steven Davis took temporary over as manager, he made the unfortunate decision to give Lovelace his first start.

However, according to the official Rangers website (February 23), the teenage forward has been in constant contact with assistant coaches Brian Gilmour and Alex Rae, stating that he must make an impression when requested to practise with the first squad.

If the manager doesn’t see the potential in Lovelace, the coaches will surely put in a good word for him with Clement should a mark be left.

The youth has already made four senior appearances, but now that he is returning to training after an extended absence, he may soon put pressure on Clement.
