Rangers, who are now dominating the Premiership, are aware that they need to maintain their pace.
Last Saturday, Philippe Clement’s team upset leaders Celtic by defeating St. Johnstone 3-0 at McDiarmid Park. Now, they have a chance to build on that two-point advantage and extend it to five games before the Hoops can retaliate against Motherwell.
Clement would insist on that, but Steven Naismith’s team, who has won 12 straight games without tasting defeat, are the ones who are in great form and will be the visitors to Ibrox this Saturday.
It’s going to be an exciting afternoon, but with Todd Cantwell ruling, who will Clement choose?
Jack Butland
The stopper starts when he’s fit and this weekend he’ll be needed vs Shankland.
James Tavernier
Has plenty of goals to his name against the Jambos and will hope to score again.
Connor Goldson
The rock at Gers’ defence and the most consistent centre-half they’ve got.
John Souttar
Has developed a partnership with Goldson lately and will keep that momentum going.
Ridvan Yilmaz
Was given time on the bench last weekend and is likely to come back in this week at home.
John Lundstram
Mr Consistent in the engine room this season. Hard to justify dropping him right now.
Mohamed Diomande
Scored a worldie to give him confidence vs St Johnstone and wants to start at home as a reward, we’re sure.
Scott Wright
Trusted from the start last weekend and may be given a run again. Could be swapped out for Ross McCausland.
Fabio Silva
Has played in the number 10 role before and could be asked to do so again with Todd Cantwell ruled out.
Oscar Cortes
Has shown serious pace and trickery in the short time he’s been at Rangers so far and is earning his spot.
Cyriel Dessers
The big man has done well enough recently and seems to enjoy scoring goals at Ibrox.
