Rob McElhenney, according to retired custodian Ben Foster, is the “brains” behind Wrexham, while co-owner Ryan Reynolds has a more “relaxed” stance.
Consequently, what happened?
During his appearance on talkSPORT, Foster revealed some information regarding Wrexham’s ownership, stating that although Reynolds is the more well-known of the two, McElhenney is the real motivator. The former England and Manchester United goalie, who hung up his boots during a second stint at Wrexham last summer, also restated that the two celebrities weren’t really pals prior to their involvement in the Welsh team.
THOUGH FOSTER SAID
“Rob is the brains behind it, Rob is fully in,” Foster remarked. Don’t get me wrong, they’re both completely devoted, but Rob, you can see that Wrexham is truly his baby. I believe that Ryan first just went along for the trip, saying, “Yeah, I’ll help you out.” And he’s also thrown himself into it completely. Nevertheless, after playing one more game, longtime leaders Stockport County have had an even bigger slump in performance and are now only three points ahead of the Red Dragons. The two rivals are separated by Mansfield Town, who also have a match scheduled against Stockport.
