Rangers’ thrilling victory at Ibrox yesterday put Celtic under pressure once more.

Now that they have overcome their previous setbacks and all the talk of their impending doom, the Hoops need to head to Motherwell with three goals in mind. Anything less would be enough to tip the scales in favour of the Gers.

Brendan Rodgers’ team lost the last meeting between these two teams, and they haven’t been doing much better lately, with draws against Kilmarnock and Aberdeen behind their recent slide to second place. The players, board, and manager are all under criticism and ought to make an official statement.

A lot of players are not performing up to par, therefore adjustments are possible. Football Scotland has attempted to anticipate the starting lineup.

Joe Hart

Joe Hart will keep his place after his retirement announcement.

Alistair Johnston

The right-back has resumed training, so perhaps it’s too soon, but the Hoops could really use his help.

Cameron Carter-Vickers

Speaking of those they could truly work with. If he makes it from the beginning, the US international may settle things down in the centre of defence.

Liam Scales

Should CCV choose to participate, his partner will be a topic of discussion. Scales, who has been their most reliable centre back since the beginning of the season, got along well with him.

Greg Taylor

Only played for an hour in the last game; maybe, he can now play the entire game.

Callum McGregor

Captain hasn’t quite been his usual imperious self but still has to play.

Paulo Bernardo

been absent from the team lately, but if a forward player is sacrificed, they might be called up.

Matt O’Riley

Recently lost himself in his own game, but not beyond occasional magical moments.

Daizen Maeda

Though not at his peak, he still has a lot to give off the pitch.

Luis Palma

The wide regions probably need to be changed, but are any of the new players much better?

Kyogo

Idah must be the forward to be sacrificed if one is to be made. If Kyogo continues to improve, he could have a tremendous advantage.
