Oliver Glasner, the new manager of Crystal Palace, got the team back on track last Saturday when they defeated Burnley 3-0 at Selhurst Park.

Daniel Munoz, 27, has received a lot of appreciation from Eagles captain Joel Ward, who said that he contributes a lot to the squad.

The Colombian international moved from Genk to his new team during the January transfer window, and he has made a good transition.

With four Premier League games under his belt, Ward believes the Colombian has the potential to become a Selhurst Park fan favourite.

Munoz’s “enthusiasm, desire, and commitment” have impressed Ward, 34.

The first goal was scored by Chris Richards, Joachim Andersen, and the veteran defender together in the back three centre pairing. In the match against the Clarets, Munoz and Tyrick Mitchell respectively played as left and right wing-backs.

Regarding his link-up play with Munoz, Ward remarked, “It’s only been a couple of games but I’ve enjoyed it so far,” as cited by London News Online.

“He is a great asset to the team; his zeal, drive, and dedication are unmatched. Going forward, he will be a fan favourite.

Huge game coming up for Crystal Palace

Roy Hodgson was fired as the Eagles’ manager as a result of their terrible run of play.

After drawing 1-1 with Everton, Palace defeated Burnley, who played horribly, at Selhurst Park to secure a vital victory.

They have surged to 13th in the Premier League table with this win, and suddenly things appear to be going well for them. Fair enough, midtable teams’ positions in the league table fluctuate, but Palace has the opportunity to do something exceptional moving forward.

The performance of some of his players in the previous game greatly impressed the new Palace manager, who was particularly taken by the young player Matheus Franca.

In the Premier League’s history, Glasner is only the second Crystal Palace manager to win his team’s debut match. The following game, which they play away from home against London rivals Tottenham, should be an exciting one.

Palace would be greatly boosted if they could secure a favourable outcome.
