Currently in fourth place, Wrexham is aiming for promotion from League Two this season.
Wrexham is currently two points off of the top three after losing 1-0 on the road against Gillingham last time out.
Tomorrow night, the Red Dragons will return to action as they travel to Forest Green Rovers. Here are three players that might have played their final game for the team in the interim.
Callum McFadzean
Due to his decline in the Wrexham hierarchy, it is likely that the left-back will depart the Racecourse Ground this summer. He has only made a few cup appearances and hasn’t participated in any league games this season.
At the conclusion of the current campaign, his contract expired, and he is eligible to become a free agent. Last year, the 30-year-old assisted Phil Parkinson’s team in being promoted from the National League.
Mark Howard
Right now, he backs up Arthur Okonkwo, the top player. The seasoned goalie has started seven games so far this season, but he is currently mostly used as a bench warmer.
The 37-year-old Howard has previously played for teams like Sheffield United and Bolton Wanderers. His contract expires at the end of the month, so the Welsh team will need to make a significant choice about his future.
Billy Waters
The attacker is still on Wrexham’s roster, but he isn’t getting much play, which is why he was given permission to sign a loan with Doncaster Rovers, a League Two team, in January. Since joining Grant McCann’s team earlier this winter, he has gone on seven trips.
After relocating to Wales in March 2023, Waters has recently had difficulty getting into games. This summer, a permanent departure to a different team is anticipated.
