HITC Sport reports that Celtic has decided on the goalie they want to hire to take Joe Hart’s place.

Legendary football player Hart will call it quits at the conclusion of the current campaign. Of course, the Celts are searching for someone to take the position of the bulky Englishman.

Hart is an essential player for the squad both in the locker room and on the pitch. Since he is an important team leader, it will be far more difficult to replace his effect than it would be for a typical player to leave.

But the club knows exactly who they want to step in to replace the 36-year-old: Caomhin Kelleher. The Liverpool custodian has impressed Celtic for a number of years, and they want to buy him.

However, the 25-year-old’s deal with the Reds runs through the summer of 2026. Any deal for Kelleher would undoubtedly cost a large sum of money, as common sense dictates, especially in light of his outstanding performance against Chelsea in Sunday’s League Cup final.

That’s why it seems like a pipe dream for the Irishman to join his international compatriots Liam Scales and Adam Idah in Glasgow, whether the Hoops want him or not. But if they reap the huge financial rewards of qualifying for the Champions League, chances might arise.
