Felipe, a defender for Nottingham Forest, unexpectedly announced his retirement this week.

The centre back announced on social media that he will retire from the game at the end of the current campaign, with an explanation to follow.

Danilo, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest, was able to speak with ESPN Brasil and revealed that he is not pleased with Felipe’s choice.

The defender had been hinting at his retirement for some time, according to the former Palmeiras player, and they had been attempting to get him to reconsider.

He would occasionally remark, but Murillo and I would not allow it, believing it was too soon to call it quits. However, he has now announced on social media that it is certain. Danilo stated, “The decision is now more solid and certain.
Danilo now appears to be holding out hope that Felipe may change his mind about the choice since he thinks his teammate still has much to offer.

He accomplished a lot with Corinthians, Porto, Atletico Madrid, and us this season. Now that he’s back in the game after a protracted absence, he’s starting to restore his confidence. I hope he remains with us for an additional year before retiring at a later time.

Felipe will turn 35 in May, and while that felt like a respectable age to call it quits, it surprised me because defenders typically have longer playing careers.

He has only made seven appearances for Nottingham Forest this season, and his contract with the team expires this summer, so that could be one of the reasons.

It appears that he is not eager to move on to another location at this time.
