Leeds United is currently playing fantastically and has a chance to finish in the top two of the Championship table this year.

Right now, Daniel Farke’s team is ranked second in the Championship standings. Leeds United has won 37 games and gained 79 points.

Leeds leads fourth-place Ipswich Town by one point and trails leaders Leicester City by just three points.

In the Championship on Friday night, the Whites travelled to Hillsborough to play Sheffield Wednesday. And they prevailed.

Leeds defeated their Yorkshire rivals 2-0 in the game. The Whites took the lead in injury time of the first half through Patrick Bamford. After 58 minutes, Wilfried Gnonto added a second.

Daniel Farke commends Striker Patrick Bamford of Leeds United
Bamford’s goal left Leeds head coach Farke extremely impressed, stating that the Englishman is a world-class player.

After Junior Firpo’s left-wing delivery, the striker poked in at the far post to find the back of the net.

“Everyone speaks about the goal Bamford scored at Peterborough in the FA Cup – a worldie – but this goal tonight is for me also like a world-class striker goal,” Farke is quoted by LeedsLive as saying of Bamford.

“To possess this inclination. Will Junior bring the cross with him? must move away from the opposition at the far post, but maintaining focus to bring the ball down is still necessary.

“This is an indication of a world-class striker because it wasn’t that easy to score.” We’re all glad to have Patrick and that he’s in the best shape possible because when it counts, you have to be there and clinical.

In my opinion, Patrick Bamford is a crucial member of the Leeds United team.
Patrick Bamford, a striker for Leeds United, is a key member of the team, in my view.

Despite his struggles with injuries this season and his need to compete for a spot in the starting lineup, the 30-year-old is still a valuable member of the club.

In nine starts and seventeen substitute appearances for Leeds this Premier League season, the English striker has seven goals and one assist.

Bamford made 43 Championship starts for Leeds in 2019–20, scoring 16 goals and dishing out two assists. The Whites were granted Premier League promotion.

Bamford has the potential to help Leeds return to the Premier League by scoring significant goals for the team between now and the end of the campaign.
