Every transfer rumor pertaining to Brighton & Hove Albion and the Premier League

Deniz Undav, a striker for Brighton, maintains that he is content at his loan team, VfB Stuttgart, and that he is open to moving this summer.

With 15 goals and five assists in 24 games since joining the Budesliga team on loan at the beginning of the season, Undav, 27, has helped Stuttgart move up to third place in the standings, just four points behind second-place Bayern Munich.

The German striker’s Brighton contract expires in June 2026, but Stuttgart’s loan agreement purports to include an option to buy. After a successful stint in Belgium with Union SG, Undav joined Brighton for approximately £7 million in 2022. Despite his current dominance, which has increased his worth, the Seagulls would aim to obtain more than £15 million if he leaves this summer.

“To Sky Deutschland, I have a contract with Brighton,” Undav declared. I plan to return to Brighton in the summer as things now stand. The season is still lengthy, though. It’s all about VfB.

“I wish to achieve the greatest level of achievement. VfB is an excellent team. It pleases me to be here. The supporters are amazing. The staff has treated me kindly and I’ve blended effectively. In any case, I have nothing against it,” he remarked.

Along with Brighton teammate Pascal Gross, he was also called up to the German national squad last week by manager Julian Nagelsmann due to his excellent recent form.

“How is that possible?” Undav grinned and said. Nobody had any faith in me. I lacked self-confidence.

“I played football only for enjoyment. Additionally, tell your wife and family that you’ve succeeded after all while you’re at home. It’s incredible to feel as though I’ve shown those who never thought I could be capable.

“It was a different career path; it took longer than I anticipated.”

In 30 games for Brighton in 2022–2023 Undav scored eight goals and provided one assist; in his last eight Premier League games for the Seagulls, he scored five goals.
