Daniel Farke gave conflicting updates regarding injuries prior to Leeds United’s match against Millwall on Sunday.
Since their most recent 2-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday, the Whites have had a much-needed nine-day break, which has allowed the team to properly relax and recuperate.
Daniel Farke provided inconsistent reports on injuries before Sunday’s Leeds United vs. Millwall match.
The Whites have had a much-needed nine days off since their most recent 2-0 triumph at Sheffield Wednesday, which has allowed the team to thoroughly rest and recover.
Farke provides an encouraging update on Anthony and Shackleton.
“We have some good news! Jamie and Jaidon Anthony will be back in time for this weekend’s game,” he stated.
Although it is highly doubtful that either will start, Farke will benefit from having extra players at his disposal as Leeds get ready for an emotionally and physically taxing promotion run-in.
Farke will be especially happy to get Anthony back, even if the 24-year-old hasn’t started in the league since October. Anthony recently proved his mettle in the FA Cup.
He first scored a wonderful goal in the fourth-round tie against Plymouth Argyle, then he gave Mateo Joseph two wonderful assists in the loss against Chelsea.
His addition to the team will give Farke yet another capable substitute, and with any luck, he can make an impact before heading back to Bournemouth in the summer.
While Shackleton hasn’t always been available for Leeds this season, Farke still has the option of using him when he returns.
