Karamoko Dembele, an attacker for Brest, has shown well while on loan, and Leeds United is reportedly considering a deal for him.

According to Graeme Bailey’s report on the outlet’s website on March 19, the 21-year-old’s “dazzling” performances for Blackpool this League One season have attracted the Whites’ notice.

His case is being pursued by a number of Premier League teams, including sanctioned teams Everton and Nottingham Forest, as well as Brentford and Fulham. Promotion rivals Southampton and Leicester City are also involved.

The former Celtic sensation, whose “devastating dribbling ability” garnered attention when he was a young player in Scotland, is “belatedly” expected to take a significant stride towards realizing his potential.

Although it would be available for a “sizeable fee,” it is apparently uncertain whether Brest sees him staying in France after he returns from Blackpool.

Leeds United is trying to make a splash. 21-year-old Dembele, a loan player from Blackpool, has played a significant role in League One this season, making 32 league games with six goals and eleven assists.

Although he didn’t play much for Brest last season, he seems to have improved greatly in his first extended senior campaign.

Whether the Whites need to look at attacking additions from lower levels in their pursuit of a Premier League return is maybe arguable, given that they already have excellent options at his position in the form of Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville.

Nevertheless, it is evident from the quantity of teams rumored to be keeping an eye on his development that he is seen as more than just a player who is performing well in the third tier; rather, there are great expectations for him and they may soon come true.

With a fairly hit-and-miss record of success, Leeds United has made it a habit in recent years to invest in young players with an eye toward the future, even though they do so at younger ages than Dembele.

However, if he is a late bloomer who is meant for greatness, Daniel Farke might find him to be a useful addition as someone who can pick up tips from the industry veterans.

Although it’s doubtful if Leicester could come up with a “sizeable” amount given their FFP issues, Leeds will also need to consider this this summer in light of the anticipated revisions to the top flight’s spending restrictions.

In other Leeds United news, one of the Whites’ many appearances this season is out of the picture and has played his final game.
