Josh McDonald has signed his first professional contract at Elland Road, according to a statement from Leeds United.
With 17 games in the Premier League North for Leeds, the 17-year-old winger has five goals and three assists.
McDonald recently replaced Sonny Perkins against Leicester City in Premier League 2 to make his debut for the Under-21s.
In a statement posted on their official website on Thursday, March 21, Leeds announced the deal news. McDonald’s terms were set until 2026.

McDonald is a young attacker that Elland Road has high expectations for, therefore Leeds can only be pleased to hear of his first professional contract.
As a Scotland Under-17 international and a former Leeds U21 player, McDonald is demonstrating that he is on the verge of becoming a fully-fledged senior player.
The team will undoubtedly be hoping that McDonald can maintain his strong Premier League North stats as he moves up to regular games in Premier League 2.
This is the second new contract given to a young player this week; on Tuesday, March 19, Sam Chambers signed his first professional contract at Elland Road.
Leeds is now playing at a high level, appearing close to a Premier League comeback, and the team is well-stocked for the future.
