One Crystal Palace player is eager to leave ahead of a busy summer window, but Graeme Bailey suggests he might not get his way.

Oliver Glasner is going to be quite nervous this summer since some of the greatest clubs in the Premier League will be vying for his best players.

Interest would naturally arise due to the undeniably remarkable performances by Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze, and Michael Olise.

However, Crystal Palace will be desperate to keep all three of them at Selhurst Park come September, which means that one player who is ready to move may still be there.

We Are Palace spoke with Graeme Bailey, the transfer guru of HITC Football, about exactly that; Olise and Eze’s futures are especially intriguing.

Will this summer be Eberechi Eze’s big break?
It’s inevitable that this summer will see Eze and Olise associated with high-profile transactions abroad; rumors of this have been circulating for months.

Olise has Manchester United desperate to secure his signature with a release clause of around £60m, while Eze has Manchester City on his tail along with Spurs.

We asked Graeme Bailey about Eze’s future in particular to which he explained what makes the 25-year-old’s situation interesting.

“Eze is an interesting one, he really is. I can see he really is ready to go but I think Eze might have to wait another summer to get out. They can’t afford to sell their crown jewels. If one does go, it’s likely to be Olise but if Eze did want to go, he’s got a lot of interest.”

From this, it seems Palace will do everything in their power to keep Eze should Olise go and only a massive offer would likely tempt the Eagles to sell.

It would be huge for Crystal Palace the next season if Eze stayed.
Eze is simply too brilliant to pass up a big move, so it seems probable that he will eventually receive one. However, Palace and Glasner would benefit greatly from having him for a another year.

This summer, the Austrian manager may find it difficult to replace both Eze and Olise because, as of now, only right-sided players have been strongly linked.

Therefore, it could be a good idea to give the Olise replacement a year to adjust while Eze, who is already settled in and doing well, takes up the slack. Eze’s eventual replacement might even arrive earlier, allowing for an overlap.

Ultimately, Dougie Freedman and company won’t be able to stop Eze from leaving if they want to and City shows up with a big offer.
