Even though Pascal Groß is 32 years old, he plays a significant role in Brighton & Hove Albion’s youthful squad that Roberto De Zerbi has assembled.
With 26 Premier League appearances this season, the midfielder has four goals and ten assists, which is why he is now a regular member of the Germany side.
The Brighton player, who is now playing for his country, had a conversation with WAZ about a range of subjects, including the Seagulls as a team and the work his management is doing there.
Groß seems to believe that the club’s current project is one of the primary issues, and he may want to modify it in the future to allow the team to compete even more.
When asked about what makes the team unique and how the group is “data-based,” the midfielder gave frank answers.
“You did a good job summarizing that,” he replied. The team purchases young players who, regrettably, must be sold. That’s the mindset, that’s Brighton. People in the Premier League tend to buy a lot. A substantial sum is paid. We pay transfer costs, of course, but by Premier League standards, we are not like other teams.
Since joining Brighton from FC Ingolstadt in Germany in 2017, the midfield player has witnessed a number of talented players come and leave.
Among the most prominent have been Moises Caicedo, who Chelsea paid a fee for, and Alexis Mac Allister, who is currently at Liverpool.
